Ideally, this person would have 2 years of experience in/with SEO.

Microsoft Advertising is looking for a contract SEO Evangelist to help support the growth of Index Nowand Bing Webmaster tools amongst the SEO industry. The evangelist will play a critical support role in creating content, building and supporting a community, and managing an editorial calendar.

Job duties

•Create and manage a content calendar in support of our SEO external marketing activities

•Author content for use on the blog and social channels

•Work with the Director of PM on presentation content and materials to support speaking engagements

•Manage and grow a social and influencer community focused on the SEO community

•Conduct competitive analysis and updates on announcements/news

•Provide weekly reporting on status of projects and industry news/updates

•Support ongoing webcasts with coordination and content

•Support ongoing partner needs

Skills required

•You have a strong grasp of SEO strategies and concepts, such as indexing, best practices, and problem solving

•You have and understanding of how webmaster tools and some technical SEO understanding, as well (HTML,Javascript, CSS, iframes, etc.)

•You know that communication isn’t ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to delivering a message/story; you customize your approach to adapt to the audience

•When it comes to SEO trends, you pride yourself on being ahead of the curve. You love reading up on industry blogs and sharing your insights with others

•You’ve dabbled in the industry’s newest tools and resources including the new Bing/ChatGPT

•While your role is primarily focused on execution, you’re eager to share your opinion and give strategic recommendation

You know how to get your point across. Whether you’re writing an article or authoring a presentation, your communication style is always concise and effective

•You approach your work with a sense of urgency and you don’t need to be micromanaged to meet deadlines

•You don’t just find problems, you find solutions! You anticipate potential hiccups and provide proactive solutions."
