Job Description


A global leader in the engineering and manufacturing industry is seeking a Consumer Insight Analyst to join their team in Louisville, KY! This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding infrastructure team where you will have a crucial role in driving innovation and product development by conducting in-depth research, gathering customer feedback, scheduling focus groups, moderating interviews, analyzing data, assessing marketing strategies and more!

Pay Range: $140,000 - $150,000 DOE


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and marketing teams, to shape advertising messages based on consumer insights
  • Plan and execute focus groups, interviews, and surveys to gather feedback from customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide input on product development and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct consumer research and analysis to gain insights into product usage, customer habits, and market trends
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Provide insight and guidance to engineers regarding product ideas and features
  • Analyze data, prepare presentations, and deliver actionable recommendations based on research findings
  • Work with industrial design teams to ensure products meet consumer expectations in terms of aesthetics and functionality
  • Develop schedules and coordinate research activities to align with product cycles and launch plans


Requirements


  • High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with R&D teams is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of the laundry industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights
  • Strong understanding of product cycles and the research needed at each stage
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think creatively, outside the box, and contribute to innovative solutions
  • Willingness to travel domestically (1-2 times per quarter) and internationally (1 time per year)
  • Experience conducting focus groups, moderating interviews, and analyzing data
