HOURS PER WEEK: 24 - 40 (Overtime Eligible)

ABOUT CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

CIM Security provides security guard staffing, threat assessment, catastrophe management and personal defense training in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a security officer in a construction and property management setting, you would be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property, managing access control, providing excellent client and customer service, conducting property inspections, responding to emergencies, and managing stressful situations effectively and tactfully.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Client and customer service: Providing excellent client and customer service by greeting and assisting visitors, contractors, and tenants in a professional and friendly manner. Responding to inquiries, providing information, and addressing concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

● Command presence: Demonstrating a commanding presence and projecting confidence to deter potential security breaches, and effectively managing challenging situations with assertiveness and professionalism.

● Access control: Controlling access to the property by verifying identification, checking credentials, and maintaining a log of visitors, contractors, and employees entering or leaving the premises. Enforcing access control policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access.

● Property security: Ensuring the security of the property by monitoring and patrolling designated areas to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches. Conducting security inspections and identifying and addressing potential security risks.

● Trespass prevention: Preventing trespassing and unauthorized entry by monitoring and securing entry points, challenging suspicious or unauthorized individuals, and taking appropriate action in accordance with established procedures and local regulations.

● Property inspections: Conducting property inspections to identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns. Documenting findings and communicating them to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

● Emergency response: Responding to emergency situations such as fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches in a calm and effective manner. Coordinating with emergency services, following established protocols, and providing first aid or assistance as needed.

● Stressful situations management: Effectively managing stressful situations, such as dealing with irate individuals, handling conflicts or disputes, or managing challenging behavior, in a tactful and professional manner, while maintaining composure and adhering to established protocols.

● Report writing: Maintaining accurate and detailed written records of incidents, observations, and other relevant information. Writing reports, completing logs, and documenting incidents in a timely and accurate manner for investigative, legal, or operational purposes.

● Surveillance: Utilizing surveillance equipment, such as cameras or monitoring systems, to observe and monitor activity in designated areas to detect and prevent security breaches or suspicious behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

● 1+ years of experience as a Security Officer or Security Guard

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Knowledge of access control and security equipment

● Familiarity with report writing

● Communication and observation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

● Valid Driver’s License

● De-Escalation Training

● Construction Field Experience and/or knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
