Job Description
Flournoy Construction Group has a current opening for a Construction Scheduler in Columbus, GA. The successful candidate will provide support to the Project Management Team as assigned and be experienced with Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office. The Construction Scheduler will be detail oriented, highly organized, and have the ability to create relationships /work well with a team. Responsibilities Work with the Project Management Team on assigned projects to create the Primavera (P6) Baseline Schedule that incorporates FCG's initial preconstruction schedule, the project's subcontractor schedules, and the contractual milestones dates for building turn over and project substantial completion contained in the project's executed contract with the Client. Perform bi-weekly updates to the baseline schedule on assigned projects documenting changes integrated into the project schedule. Analyze the impacts to the project's critical path and contract milestones and recommends schedule improvements. Communicate bi-weekly updated schedule status on assigned projects to the Project Management Team. Create and distribute Near-Term Look Ahead Schedule Sorts, Critical Path Schedule Sorts and Overall Project Schedule (OPS) Sorts to the Project Management Team. Assist the Project Management Team with creating change order requests (CORs) that include requests for time extensions. Perform time impact analysis (TIA) on change order requests (CORs) and other potential delays to the project completion. Track critical project milestones, activities, and changes to the critical path impacting the project. Track project trends using Project Total Float and Project Milestone tracking systems and submits Project Trend Analysis Reports to the Project Management Team on assigned projects. Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays. Provide information on items impacting the project schedule. Identify project schedule risks and include schedule impact analysis for review by project team. Maintain current and standardized job files. Actively participate in identifying scheduling process improvements. Provide technical support to the Project Management Team in claims litigation. Education and Experience At least 5 years of experience in multifamily construction preferred, 2+ years of that creating and managing CPM Schedules. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred. Ability to effectively work in both sector specific software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera (P6), and Microsoft Project as well as experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
