Location of Position

This position is a fully remote position, with the option of having a hybrid work schedule if located near our NYC or Buffalo office locations.

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager will manage a set of CleanCapital’s investment projects that are in development and construction, including EPC oversight, permitting coordination, budgeting and reporting.

Core Responsibilities

  • If needed, assist with obtaining necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
  • Some travel expected
  • Manage and monitor subcontractors/EPCs, oversee cost control, and provide follow up to ensure timely completion of work
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Report project progress and budget to management, including explaining contract and technical matters to others in a clear manner
  • Collaborate with engineers, utilities and other partners on project development and construction
  • Ensure project deadlines are met and communicate to key stakeholders issues as they arise
  • Assist with the preparation of contract documents, budgets, scheduling, contracting and processing of invoices
  • Review EPC contracts and contract purchase orders
  • Review drawings for constructability and logistics
  • Organize and track project data and metrics

Education Requirements

  • BSc/BA in engineering, construction management, building science or relevant field
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus

Technical Skills and Experience

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within construction
  • Experience on utility scale solar projects (25-50 MW+)
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Experience in solar construction
  • Excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
