Construction Project Manager Jobs

FLYNN Construction Management General Contracting, Inc. is a national general contractor that specializes in new construction, renovations and build outs of a wide array of commercial locations. We are currently seeking a well-qualified Project Manager to join our growing team!

Job Summary

FLYNN's project managers will be responsible for:

• Reporting progress to superiors and clients
• Supervising the project and superintendents
• Negotiating prices with vendors and suppliers to ensure the most competitive quotes
• Hiring quality subcontractors
• Project planning and revisions

Essential Functions

• Preparation and delivery of close out and owner's manuals
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes as well as other regulations
• Obtain all necessary permits and licenses
• Other duties as assigned
• Ensure all change order are complete and submitted in a timely fashion
• Complete project job schedules via Microsoft Project
• Complete necessary takeoffs for material orders and change orders
• Conduct on site interviews during project for evaluation purposes
• Evaluate the estimate to ensure the budget will be met
• Maintain regular communication with vendors, subcontractors, superintendents and owners
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
• Determine labor requirements and hire proper subcontractors
• Draft contract scopes and purchase orders

• Ability to communicate clearly via email, telephone and face to face meetings
• Is goal oriented and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to ensure desired end results are met in a timely fashion
• Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
• Ability to obtain a thorough knowledge of each project allowing for any potential issues to be addressed proactively
• Ability to address any unforeseen problems quickly and professionally
• Astute understanding of construction regulations

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in using Timberline Software & Microsoft Project is a plus
• 3-5 years' experience in a project management or similar role

Working Conditions

• No relocation assistance or sponsorship opportunities available at this time
• No third party candidates, please
• Ability to travel 50% or more of the time is required
• This position would require you to work out of Pittsburgh, PA (local candidates preferred, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $70,000.00 per year (Flexible based on experience)
