The Opportunity


The Construction Project Assistant supports the construction project management cycle from project onboarding to close-out.


Responsibilities


  • Onboard projects by reviewing requests, attaining feedback from project stakeholders, and generating project shells in e-Builder project management software.
  • Reviews project files during project close-out to verify the inclusion and proper packaging of critical documents.
  • Close-out projects by examining financial information; reconciling outstanding internal and external project billing; and inputting invoice information in e-Builder.
  • Collaborate with leadership and supervisor in the creation of documents, forms and reports, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within established metric time frames; provide guidance to vendors and internal e-Builder users.
  • Manage project status and actions by updating project users, project details, and process notes.
  • Disseminates project information as required by procedures, and transfer physical documents to the digital archive.

Minimum Qualifications


High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management systems such as e-Builder.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and support multiple projects and tasks.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of considerable design and/or construction administration work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design and construction industry practices and terminology such as design phases and deliverables; methods of project delivery; construction processes and terminology.


Health Assessment Required


The UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.


Special Instructions To The Applicants


Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
