Job Description

Construction Manager

It is the responsibility of a Construction Manager (CM) to supervise and coordinate multiple projects to ensure on-time completion, while maintaining budget requirements and a high level of quality.The CM will serve as the Owner’s representative on a variety of projects including ground-up new construction, renovations, capital improvements and tenant improvement projects.In the performance of this role, the CM is responsible to protect and promote the interest of Noddle Companies, its clients and investment partners in all matters and take action to perform the following duties:


Project Management

  • Assist in procurement of design and construction consultants necessary to complete project
  • Have knowledge of general contract and subcontract requirements
  • Review and negotiate contract change orders.
  • Develop and manage project budget
  • Use good judgement and fairness when awarding projects and managing trade contracts to qualified contractors
  • Negotiate consultant contract agreements
  • Manage consultant efforts during design and preconstruction estimating.
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Review vendor payment requests and ensure accurate and timely payments are processed.
  • Manage, develop, promote and implement project objectives.
  • Review General Contractor estimates, scope of work, subcontractor bids and procurement strategy.
  • Lead project development meetings, establish agenda, track action items, assign responsibility and hold vendors accountable for high level performance.
  • Promote proactive code research with consultants and jurisdictional authorities
  • Generate project schedule and position consultant team to deliver timely services.
  • Lead and manage integrated multi-disciplinary design team through ter development, production of construction documents and construction administration phases.
  • Prepare and monitor budget projection reports throughout project.
  • Review design details and construction installations with a critical eye to ensure projects are designed and constructed to meet owner’s goals and expectations for long-term asset holdings.
  • Develop creative & practical design solutions that benefit the client and project.
  • Represent Noddle Companies at all project meetings.

Leadership / Business Development

  • Draw upon existing business relationships to identify potential projects or opportunities for third party owner representation consulting.
  • Secure new work through fostering client relationships
  • Expand your network by planning and attending appropriate social and business events
  • Assist in marketing of Noddle Companies services to potential customers.
  • Promote Noddle Companies services through operational excellence achieved by exceeding client expectations

Position Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management role
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • LEED Accredited Professional designation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project
