Construction Estimator Jobs

Our client, a construction and restoration company is seeking a motivated, results-driven Construction Estimator to join their team! Working under the Pre-construction Department, you will be responsible for full scope estimation of complex and large-scale projects including its bid lists, budgets, subcontractor relations, and developing routine estimating scope narratives. This is an on-site role and is based in Salem, OR.

Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain long-term relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Prepare and conduct risk analysis activities
• Oversees subcontracting process and support the pre-construction team in developing bid packages
• Manages subcontractor solicitation and selection process
• Visit sites, and any other venues necessary to do the estimate
• Select, measure and track important metrics
• Manage and review documentation to ensure a deep understanding of the project requirements
• Prepare relevant, reliable budgets and forecasting reports
• Create detailed quantity surveys and present estimates

Requirements:

• RFI and Change Order management processes
• Estimating experience (EIFS, quantity takeoffs, purchasing accounting, engineering design knowledge)
• Strong understanding of construction processes, systems, codes, costs, and principles
• Bluebeam document management experience and certifications
• Skilled in cladding, windows, doors, storefront, roofing and rough framing
• CPM Scheduling (Smartsheet, MS Project or P6)
• Background in Project Management and Supervision of field or craft workers
• Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, and investigation for process improvement
• Application softwares (MS Office, Planswift, Procore, Viewpoint, and Quickbooks)
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience
