Computer Aided Design Drafter

Our growing design-build company is looking for a key team member: a designer-draftsperson. This is a small company, and the drafter will be working directly with principals, taking schematic designs of homes and small-to-medium commercial projects through detailing to be ready for engineering, permitting, detailed pricing and construction. Responsibilities

Generate coherent, accurate drawing sets, based on sketches or CAD schematics.

Coordinate with project principals and clients to gather relevant information.

Incorporate architectural, engineering and structural notes to detail connections and members.

Research key code issues (in different jurisdictions).

Follow through with changes arising during budgeting, permitting and site work, maintaining accurate drawing sets.

Steward and Expand our library of standard details, connections and other drawings standards.

Manage timely and accurate releases of information as the project advances.

Qualifications

Experience and precision manipulating and creating 2d CAD dimensioned architectural drawings.

Experience with wood frame construction is essential. Prior experience with post-and-beam is helpful.
