Computer Aided Design Designer

What you will do.....

The Designer is responsible for generating project designs and detailed drawings utilizing CAD software, especially Inventor.

• Examine customer specifications and drawings for design compliance
• Develop custom designs in HVAC, military, and or power plant projects
• Follow standard practices and file management for CAD software
• Create drawings and models in sufficient detail to facilitate manufacturing of units, based on input from Engineers

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a CAD Design/Engineering field and 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment; or

5 years in a CAD Design/Engineering role in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor required
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings with an understanding of dimensioning and tolerance
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-through skills, excellent communicator and team player
