Description for senior level Role:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree, along with demonstrated leadership in a Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical testing/analysis laboratory. Candidate will be responsible for applying military, ESA, NASA, and Aerospace TOR specification and standard requirements, tailored to specific NASA Project requirements, for both destructive and non-destructive testing. Other duties will include job estimation, work order development, schedule tracking, workforce development, data and test method verification, and standardization/improvement of testing processes within the lab. Candidate must be a US citizen or LPR with ability to obtain a Government security clearance and/or successfully complete a background investigation.

Able to manage and prioritize activities to effectively support multiple projects/tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills. US Citizenship required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Access (or another relational database package) is a plus.

Description for the MID LEVEL role:

Mid-level EE / Component Engineer for the Parts Analysis Laboratory. Candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience, along with demonstrated leadership in an Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical testing/analysis laboratory. Candidate will be responsible for applying military, ESA, NASA, and Aerospace TOR specification and standard requirements, tailored to specific NASA Project requirements, for both destructive and non-destructive testing. Other duties will include job estimation, work order development, schedule tracking, workforce development, data and test method verification, and standardization/improvement of testing processes within the lab. BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL ROLES:

The successful candidate will interface with project design engineers, parts commodity specialists, and vendor/supplier personnel to identify appropriate parts for use in spaceflight applications. Review project Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical parts lists for compliance with NASA GSFC and Project specific quality and reliability requirements. Participated with Lead Project Parts Engineers in support of the Parts Control Board and Failure Review Board meetings. Review Screening, lot acceptance testing, and destructive physical analysis results, providing concise synopses for lot disposition justification. Act as technical interface to the GSFC and SSAI procurement organizations. Provide technical and administrative support for the Lead Parts Engineer. Travel domestically when required (less than 10%).

*Update on Component Engineer Positions-T1 clearance will be obtained for the role. An e-quip will need to be completed and a security badge will need to be obtained prior to starting the position.
