Job Description
Summary
Cultivates relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and influencers in the community. Delivers presentations, attends community events/meetings, and distributes materials. Works with corporate communications team. Ensures activities are updated, distributed, and in compliance with contracts and mandates.

Description

What You’ll Do:
  • Supports and collaborates with various internal teams to ensure corporate goals are met.
  • Executes member growth and retention strategies.
  • Researches and identifies new opportunities for community engagement.
  • Work environment: Primarily field-based work environment. Work will involve remote work as well as travel in the field and between Columbia, SC office building. Work will involve weekend and evening hours as necessary.
  • Ensures state required marketing activity reports are communicated to management.
  • Plans and executes community/member events.
  • Develops and implements community/member outreach and education plans that align with the corporate strategic goals.
  • Measure and track results and identifies root causes that will enable assigned targets to be met.

To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
  • Self-motivation and proactive to take the initiative.
  • Understanding South Carolina community resources and programs and ability to forge relationships with these organizations.
  • Cultural and linguistic understanding of the Medicaid population.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's OR Four (4) years job related work experience or Associate's and Two (2) years job related work experience.
  • Two (2) years community outreach experience
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
We Prefer That You Have:
  • Support/collaborate with various internal teams, such as provider education, quality, corporate marketing etc. to ensure corporate goals are met.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
  • Medicaid Managed Care experience
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and influencers in the community.
  • Ability to work remotely, in the field, and in the Columbia office.
  • Delivers presentations, attend meetings, and distribute educational materials to members and nonmembers.
  • Comprehends various cultural and linguistic needs of the Medicaid population.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Executes growth and retention strategies.
  • Frequent travel, weekend, and evening hours as necessary
  • Must live in South Carolina.
  • Ensure outreach activities are in compliance with SCDHHS contract and mandates.
  • At least Three (3) years community outreach experience, preferably with a health plan.
  • Implement community/member outreach and education plans that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Execute community/member events and programs.
