Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Commercial Water Heater Delivery Driver.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 6am to 2pm, weekends are possible for overtime pay and spiffs.

Compensation range: $20-35/hr

Responsibilities:

• Communicate immediately with supervisor if a scheduled delivery is going to be late so that the customer can be alerted.
• Perform all assigned tasks including managing time on job sites and timely deliveries, and safety in all aspects of the delivery.
• Respond to afterhours calls as part of our 24hr emergency service, unless a leave request has been approved by supervisor (understand that most deliveries must be completed within 2-3 hours of the order entry).
• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct residential and business deliveries using the Commercial Water Heater truck (and other non CDL vehicles) and operate the lift gate and pipe rack in accordance with training.
• Transport and set-in-place Commercial Water Heaters weighing up to 950 lbs.
• Interact with customers and associates, always mindful that this program starts with customer service.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material as needed.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with our products or the ability to quickly learn it
• Ability to take care of a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge
• Excellent problem solving and listening skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior industry experience is preferred
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to drive a Non-CDL vehicle
• Ability to lift 90+ pound objects frequently and 50+ pound objects occasionally

Pay Range:

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
