Commercial Loan Officer Jobs

Coastal1 Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer responsible for developing strong, low risk commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service. Develops and manages commercial lending portfolio which meet the established lending requirements and provides maximum profitability to the Credit Union with minimum risk.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulator compliances guidelines.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
• Identifies, monitors, and manages risk profile of assigned lending portfolio. Presents to Loan Committee status and updates on the full life cycle of loan to include, loan requests, new loan terms and modifications for restructuring, watch list items and past dues.
• Prepares reports and analysis of credit situations and provides recommendations to SVP of Commercial Lending for loans that need restructuring. Develops and implements strategies to recover principal from borrower where non-performing loans have been identified and implements action plan.
• Develops business by contacting prospects and/or current customers and to maintain and enhance existing portfolio. Establishes and negotiates the terms under which credit will be extended, including the cost, repayment method and schedule of collateral requirements and documentation.

• Manages loan portfolio and business relationships from a small to complex nature. Analyzes financial and related data to determine the current creditworthiness of loan relationships to determine loan status. Monitors loan payments and advances activities in accordance with presented loan documentation and policies.

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Solid multi-tasking and project management skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Bi-lingual helpful.
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Advanced accounting and business financial knowledge with ability to analyze repayment ability, cash flow and commercial financial statement and tax return analysis.
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Advanced knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance regulations.
• Able to use various types of office equipment including personal computer.
• At least three years of commercial lending experience.
