Cnc Programmer Turning Jobs

Work with the largest, privately held, North American supplier of Gears, Gearboxes, Shafts, and Assemblies for the Commercial, Aerospace, Defense, and Aviation industries as a direct hire CNC Programmer on 1st shift. This year they will celebrate 76 years in business. Over that time, they have had gear products in space since 1991, the Indianapolis 500 on multiple winning teams, and current products on America's most advanced fighter jet platforms. Their 140,000 square-foot climate-controlled facility is equipped with state-of-the-art advanced cutting-edge equipment. They pride themselves on injecting advanced manufacturing processes and vertically integrating with world-class heat treating and plating facilities. HOURS: 7am-3:30pm PAY: $70-90K annually (depending upon experience) Excellent union benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 K with a match) Must be authorized to work in the United States What you will do:

• Programming machines for gear production
• Collaborate with Engineers and other team members to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of the manufactured gears.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of turning tools
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.
• Able to communicate with and assist machinists.
• Experience with Operating Machines is preferred.
• Able to interpret engineering documentation (GD&T, sketches, customer drawings, and heat treatment documentation).
• Experience using Mastercam.
• 5 years minimum experience programming
• Experience with SolidWorks is highly recommended to accurately model modified tooling to check clearances. As well as pulling solid models for use in Mastercam.
• Able to communicate with engineering and assist in the processing of parts (work holding & order of operations).
• Ability to understand and edit G&M codes.
• Shop experience, able to choose correct feeds/speeds.
• Experience working with exotic materials would be a plus.
• Aerospace gear-turning experience is preferred.
