Cnc Press Break Operator

Reports to the Shop Foreman and Lead Person, completes assigned work according to work orders and drawings, to the satisfaction of the customer and to the quality standards of NPSG Global.

Responsibilities

• 5S, keep work area clean and organized
• Aluminum
• First piece, in process, and final inspections own others forming work
• Completing all duties as assigned, while making the most efficient use of time, raw materials, and equipment.
• Cross train on various machines
• Work within all safety guidelines
• Working as a team and communicating effectively with management and all employees.
• Stainless Steels
• Reading and comprehending shop drawings.

• Demonstrating fabrication knowledge of:

  • Carbon Hot Rolled Steels

  • Aluminum

  • Stainless Steels

• Carbon Hot Rolled Steels
• Lead set up person for Amada equipment
• Misc projects and prototyping
• Working individually with little supervision.
• Obeying all company, OSHA, and other state and federal agencies’ safety regulations.
• Performs daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance on machines
• Working 40 to 50+ hour work weeks.
• CNC press brake programming

Secondary Job Functions:

• Training lesser skilled employees as directed by, Lead Person.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with power tools and manual tools
• Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in a Metal fabrication shop working with similar equipment and materials.
• Strong working knowledge of bend allowances
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good attendance
• Ability to read measuring tools including protractor and caliper, Fabrivision and scanning instruments preferred
• Capable of reading blueprints
• Minimum of three years CNC experience
• High School Diploma or GED & Additional equipment certification training is preferred.
