The UAP is responsible for direct patient care and assisting clinic providers.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist with Medical Scribe duties as needed.
• Assist with Clinic Receptionist duties as needed.
• Removing sutures and changing dressings.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Takes patient vital signs.
• Assist provider in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization procedures.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Education
• Minimum 1 yr. working as a medical assistant in a practice, preferred. Graduation from a medical assistant program may be substituted in lieu of the 1 yr. work experience.
• If non-certified, must complete BRHC UAP program within 6 months of hire.
• Work Experience
• Prefer graduate of a Medical Assistant or UAP program.
