About BOS

BOS Framework is a Cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation platform that enables tech teams to provision, configure and orchestrate their application and data environments in AWS/Azure with built-in observability, resilience, and compliance, without having to learn IaC or DevOps on the job.

Creating Massive Impact:

With BOS, tech-enabled businesses greatly reduce technical debt, assure on-going 99.99% uptime, gain release cycle efficiencies, and save 30 to 80% of the cost and time that goes into building, migrating, and maintaining Cloud environments with fewer tools and resources.

About position:

The CloudOps Support role is responsible for providing technical assistance and operational support for cloud-based infrastructure and services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud environments, contributing to the overall success of the organization's cloud initiatives. The CloudOps Support professional works closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and infrastructure engineers, to deliver high-quality support and resolve any cloud-related issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services. Respond to support requests, incidents, and service tickets in a timely manner while ensuring proper documentation and escalation when necessary.
  2. Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor the performance, availability, and security of cloud-based systems and resources. Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  3. Incident Management: Manage and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure, following established incident management processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  4. Cloud Deployment and Configuration: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and related services. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
  5. Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize cloud-based systems and services, including resource utilization, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Make recommendations for improvements and work with the relevant teams to implement changes.
  6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles related to cloud operations. Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members, promoting collaboration and continuous learning.
  7. Cloud Security and Compliance: Adhere to established security policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based systems and data. Stay updated with the latest security threats and industry best practices to implement appropriate security measures.
  8. Change Management: Assist in managing changes to cloud infrastructure, following change management processes and ensuring minimal impact on production systems. Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule and execute planned changes and conduct post-change verification.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of evolving cloud technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, automate tasks, and streamline workflows for improved efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, to streamline operational tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in supporting cloud infrastructure and services, preferably in public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and techniques for cloud infrastructure performance monitoring and alerting.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and experience with incident management, change management, and problem management processes.
