The Cloud Engineer will work on a team responsible for full lifecycle development of ZOLL’s web and enterprise applications. In this role, this individual will develop web applications, APIs and data integrations for the ZOLL Billing product.

The candidate will interact with a cross functional team within ZOLL, from understanding customer needs through to release and support.

Responsibilities

• Guide team members on best practices for cloud architecture
• Deploy and manage services and containers using automated configuration management and service orchestration tools
• Ensure all necessary operational processes to enable team members to deploy, deliver and maintain cloud native applications
• Participate in all aspects of product delivery, including planning, design, development, code reviews, testing and support.
• Create effective logging, monitoring and application observability utilizing cloud native tools.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile development principles
• Demonstrated proficiency in cloud development including IaC, AWS native services, serverless and containerized applications
• Communicates openly and honestly and respects the variety of personality styles that make up the team
• Able to triage problems at the system level (from infrastructure to services) to address scalability and performance bottlenecks and make appropriate tradeoffs
• Strong desire to understand the business problems that our technology is created to solve
• Bachelor’s degree in technology field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in a professional software development environment
• 3+ years experience building and maintaining solutions in AWS

Salary for this position is $130,000-$150,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
