As the City's technology leader, the client is responsible for maintaining the foundational IT infrastructure and systems that touch every aspect of City life from public safety to human services, from education to economic development crossing the full spectrum of governmental operations.

• Remote (But candidates have to be located in NY/NJ/CT area)

Responsibilities

• Working to implement and support highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that provide solutions to solve business problems and accelerate the adoption of cloud services.
• Configuration and support of cloud security and policy components.
• Developing cloud consumption targets for multi-tenant/hybrid cloud deployments.
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recover design, planning and implementation for cloud environments.
• Enablement and support of requisite insight and monitoring tools.
• Deployment, configuration, and support of IaaS/PaaS components in AWS environments
• Drive requirements for integrating several cloud capabilities and scenarios such as service availability, quality, correlation of usage and charges, and cost-efficient solution architecture.
• Build automation scripts for AWS IaaS, PaaS, AKS, serverless, databases, secrets, and Storage services.

Qualifications (Mandatory)

• Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery design, planning, and implementation.
• Expert troubleshooting skillset.
• 12+ years of technology development and administration experience with at least 6 years of hands-on implementation experience using Amazon Web Services.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, cost frameworks, trends, and industry-leading private/public/hybrid cloud vendor offerings and interoperability.
• 5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise hybrid cloud environment.
• Ability to design/plan/execute automation of workflows.
• Hands-on Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Self-motivated, must be a proven team player.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Familiar with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Linux server administration.
• Experience in storage migrations in large complex enterprise storage environments.
• Cloud-based storage system administration.
