About The Department


The Department of Neurology at The University of Chicago Medical Center has a great history and tradition, having made significant contributions to neurological training, clinical care, and the basic understanding of neurological disease. This at-will position is wholly or partially funded by contractual grant funding which is renewed under provisions set by the grantor of the contract. Employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these grant funds and satisfactory job performance.


Job Summary


This position will lead coordination of studies and projects for the Aging and Dementia Research. Primary responsibilities include project coordination, data coordination and management, neuropsychological test administration and scoring, data entry, participant recruitment and/or scheduling, preparing and summarizing data for presentations and publications, interfacing with IRB to ensure study compliance, training and supervising research assistants and volunteers on the project, assisting with grants and administrative procedures, monitoring aspects of the protocol for compliance, and supporting collaborative efforts.


Responsibilities


  • Performs various aspects of clinical research, such as collecting and processing specimens, interviewing subjects, taking vital signs, and contributing to the case report.
  • Coordinates and may participate in quality assurance reviews conducted by study sponsors, federal agencies, or specially designated review groups.
  • Performs other related work as needed.
  • Analyzes study-related documentation, such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents, or progress reports.
  • Analyzes protocols and advise treating physicians on appropriate dosage modifications or treatment calculations based on patient characteristics.

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
