Summary

The Clinical Research Associate provides support to the Clinical Development team. The associate must be highly dependable and motivated. They are resourceful and efficient when taking on tasks, have the ability to problem-solve, and pay exceptional attention to detail. The associate has strong organizational and communication skills in addition to the ability to deliver a high level of customer service.

This position’s primary goal is to perform data collection and desk research needed to support the Clinical Research team.

The Clinical Research Associate will be in the Arlington, Virginia, office and report to the SVP of Research & Development.

Essential Functions

  • Work cross functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing and Sales teams to prepare and review abstracts and scientific publications.
  • Coordinate designated clinical projects as a Local Project Coordinator (with supervision, if applicable), and may act as a local client contact as assigned
  • Support data analysis projects through data entry, data validation and data analysis.
  • Act as contact for clinical trial supplies and other suppliers (vendors) as assigned
  • Assist Clinical Research Project Manager and SVP with managing project budgets
  • Travel, including air travel, may be required and is an essential function of the role
  • Work on Clinical Case reports. Organize clinical data on individual cases into a short summary.
  • Assist with training, mentoring and development of new employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Perform desk research to prepare background information for publications and scientific abstracts.
  • Monitor and collect information on clinical cases that are discussed or shared with our clinical team and in our sales network.
  • Participate in clinical trials by reviewing data and supporting data collection.
Requirements:

Education

  • College degree or higher in health care, a scientific field and/or in a field directly related to this position.

Travel

  • 5-10% to perform site visits, project training and trade show support
