Clinical Nutritionist
Per Diem (7.5 hours)
9am-5pm

Position Summary
Successful candidate will support the Food and Nutrition department at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive nutrition and collaborative food service care to meet our patients needs.

Skills/Position Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, manage heavy workload with good time management skills.
  • Experience with Epic and CBORD (Foodservice Suite) preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all team members to resolve problems.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communications.
  • Develop treatment plan to promote wound healing after surgery and maintain nutrition status.
  • Provide nutrition therapy to inpatients according to medical condition and nutrition needs.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling.
Schedule
  • Flexible as needed; weekdays, weekends, and holidays required.
Required Credentials
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD)
  • Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NYS
  • Masters degree preferred
