Job Title: Clinical Instructor, 0.4 FTE

Job Summary


The Clinical Instructor - Registered Dietician will work within a comprehensive Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Multi-Disciplinary Care Program. The program includes co-housed gynecology and psychology services as well as patient navigation. The Dietician will review typical diet patterns for patients, guide the patient in setting nutrition goals related to PCOS, and form a nutrition plan with the patient to support pursuit of these goals.


Examples of Work Performed


  • Suggests ideas for clinical research projects and clinical events
  • Makes dietary changes as necessary
  • Address patient concerns regarding nutrition
  • Review pre-existing diet patterns
  • Conduct clinic visits with patients during Multi-Disciplinary PCOS Program clinic sessions as well as telehealth follow-ups
  • Collaborate with gynecology, psychology, patient navigator, and other ancillary services as appropriate
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Request nutrition-related labs on patients as needed
  • Distribute educational material as needed

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Biology, or an applicable field
  • 2 years of experience in a medical or academic institution providing nutritional guidance to patients
  • Licensed as a Registered Dietitian


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Master’s Degree-MSRD
  • 2 years of experience as a dietician, or similar work experience
  • Experience working in medical nutrition therapy for endocrine disorders, eating disorders, or medically assisted weight loss


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Must enjoy and be effective talking on the telephone and interacting in-person with patients to assess participant interest, dietary needs, and perform any follow-up visits as necessary
  • Outstanding customer service skills including the ability to supervise Dietary needs for people of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally

Anticipated Pay Range


The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:


$24,178 - $30,754. ($60,445 - $76,886 for a 1.0 FTE)


The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
