The Clinical Director (Behavioral Health) is responsible for leading the clinical, educational, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all components of clinical nursing services for inpatient behavioral health located in the facility. Oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Must possess expertise and knowledge in the care, treatment, and stabilization of the patient across each area of the behavioral health specialty. Must be able to collaborate with ancillary departments, pre/post hospital personnel, law enforcement and other outside agencies involved in the care of the patient. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a critical leadership position within the hospital, representing behavioral health as a nursing specialty. The incumbent will collaborate with leaders and key personnel across departments within the hospital to assist in facilitating the organization's vision, mission, and support collective efforts toward accomplishing Northwest Health System's strategic priorities. The Clinical Director (Behavioral Health) prioritizes the inpatient behavioral health nursing team's energy and focus around accomplishing quality, competency, and safety benchmarks in relation to patient care outcomes, and patient experience. A Masters Degree in Nursing is preferred, and current state licensure is required. Must have extensive experience in the care and treatment of patients with trauma oriented illness and treatment needs. Oversees the study and treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. May be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient treatment. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
