Job Purpose
The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments for designated areas according to protocol. Provides courteous, professional and efficient service to patients and providers. Responsible for accurately completing registration process for all patients including collection of copayments and patient demographic information.
The hours for this position are Monday and Wednesday 10am -7pm and then Tuesday and Thursday-Friday 8-5.

- Schedules patient appointments, consultations, diagnostics, and procedures in accordance with physician protocols
- Collect co-payments
- Resolves scheduling conflicts proactively to address patient and care team needs
- Responds to patient inquiries regarding appointments and provides appointment reminders
- Reviews all incoming and outgoing referrals for our assigned physicians
- Communicates scheduling and patient changes with appropriate clinic staff efficiently
- Updates and maintains physician scheduling templates
- Accept and submit insurance claims and payment, as well obtaining HMO referral for patients to be seen from their primary care provider
- Accept and submit insurance claims and payments
- Comprehension: Understands and applies detailed instructions and factual information in oral, written and /or diagram form
- Adaptability: Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and adjusting response appropriately to achieve goals; responds to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives
- Communication : Actively listens, interprets verbal and nonverbal cues, and seeks to understand; presents information clearly both verbally and written with the goal to inform and care for patients; able to adjust presentation as needed for audience
- Customer Focus : Works with customers to understand needs and ensure that products and services meet their needs. Does what can be done to resolve issues, gets the customer to someone who can help if needed, and follows up to ensure there is resolution. Handles the situation in a conscientious and customer-focused way
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Monitors and checks work or information and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently
- Judgment: Acts with the patient's best interest making timely and informed decisions in complex situations; accepts responsibility to maintain patient confidentiality
- Initiative / Independence: Works independently with little needed direction taking responsibility for own time and effectiveness. Proactively recognizes opportunities to contribute, recommends and implements process improvements

Education And Experience Requirements
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites
