Job Description
Overview:
Perform a variety of activites involving standard procedures within the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse department.
Major Position Responsibilities:
  • Work closely and effectively with other Materials personnel as well as Receiving Inspection
  • Effectively communicate with Buyers and/or Vendors to clear up discrepancies
  • Accurate check against system of supplies/materials received
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Accurately update system when supplies/materials are received
  • Receiving in supplies/materials
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to tracking, logging, verifying and reporting received supplies/materials. Maintain office supplies. Responsible for receiving incoming materials and/or preparing materials for shipment. May pack or unpack items and verify quantity; log receipt of items in system; process freight bills, packing sheets and other documents. Work with Transportation Coordinator to become back-up. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed to support a three shift operation
  • 3 + years of Shipping/Receiving experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
