About The Job

Dominion Disability Advocates (DDA) has a combined experience of over 40 years – and that is with direct insider knowledge within the Social Security System! Dominion Disability Advocates holds a special certification through the Social Security Administration that allows us to represent clients, and is a member of the National Association of Disability Representatives (nadr.org).


Our knowledge, experience and an average success rate of 80% qualifies DDA as the people to talk to when considering an application for Social Security Disability.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Handle client intake
  • Make suggestions and recommendations to the Community Support Team regarding any additional services and supports that may be beneficial to the person’s health and well-being
  • Follow ups on claims clerical
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the direct support staff
  • Interacti with governmental agencies to help clients procure benefits, assist claimants in applying for food stamps, Medicaid, and state disability.
  • Guide and lead the Community Support Team in providing individualized supports and services
  • Serve as a champion in assisting people supported to progress towards and achieve their outcomes

  • What We Expect From You

    • Self Starter
    • Currently pursuing a degree in sociology, special education, rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, social work, applied behavioral studies, education, communicative disorders, gerontology, health education, human development, or social work.
    • Passion for serving people and indigent populations
    • Computer savvy
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
