Full-time Cleaner


35 hours per week


12 months per year

Summary:


SUNY Ulster seeks a full-time Cleaner to perform routine cleaning of campus buildings. Hours will be from 6:00 am – 2pm, Monday through Friday.


Typical Work Activities:


The typical work activities listed below, while providing representative examples of the variety of work assignments in the title, do not describe any individual position. Incumbents in this title may perform some or all of the following, as well as other related activities not described:


  • May, on occasion, secure buildings.
  • May vacuum and shampoo rugs;
  • May move furniture;
  • Dusts chairs, tables, desks, and other furniture;
  • Fills bathroom dispensers;
  • Sweeps, mops, washes, strips, waxes and oils floors;
  • May direct traffic during special events;
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and metal furnishings;
  • May clear snow and ice from walks, steps and pathways;
  • Washes windows, walls, bathrooms, water closets, tubs and chalk boards;
  • Gathers and disposes of refuse;


Minimum Qualifications: None.


Salary: $17.50/hour


Additional Information:


SUNY Ulster offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, NYS Retirement Plan, SUNY Perks, tuition waivers, including dependent waivers. In addition, CSEA covered members receive, on an annual basis: 10 vacation days, 12 sick days, 5 personal days, and 15 holidays including 4 floating holidays. CSEA covered members who are required to work on a Holiday will be compensated at the overtime rate for all hours worked and in addition, shall be given commensurate time off.
