Claims Examiner I - Evicore - Remote

The Claims Examiner is responsible for the review, evaluation and processing of medical claims. They will apply proper claim concepts and practices, ensuring efficient processing of our customers' claims.
How You'll Make a Difference

• Verify authorization and service appropriateness
• Review, evaluation and processing of medical claims
• Confirm member eligibility and claim pricing
• Use your knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance plans and medical billing concepts
• Apply proper claim concepts, rules and practices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of claims payment
• Willingness to learn different claims platforms within eviCore and also our clients claims platforms when necessary

What You Need To Do The Job

• 1 + years of experience with claims processing and/or medical billing - Required.
• High School diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of experience with medical terminology and ICD and CPT codes Required
• Image one and/or MC400 experience preferred
• Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) - Required.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17 - 22 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
