Claim Specialist Jobs

Commonwealth Radiology, a well-established and growing radiology practice, is looking for a highly-organized and conscientious Claim Specialist to join its Billing Staff. The Claim Specialist is responsible for supporting the Claims Resolution team by performing the following duties:

• Reviewing, researching and reconciling carrier rejections and denials through electronic, oral and written communications.
• Additional duties may include front-end revenue cycle tasks, processing carrier mail/correspondence and other duties as assigned.
• Identifying and communicating with direct supervisor regarding trends and reimbursement issues.
• Prioritizing work in accordance with established guidelines
• Working with third-party payors and insurance carriers to resolve unpaid claims.

Applicants must have:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
• A good understanding of the medical billing cycle.
• Detail oriented.
• A good understanding of medical terminology.
• Direct experience with insurance billing and follow-up.
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-9, UB, HCFA, and 837 terminologies.
• Strong problem solving and research skills.
• A minimum of two years of medical billing experience with a computerized billing system, preferred.
