Job Description
The Principal Responsibilities Essentially Include
  • Carry out pre-inspection and checking for all quality measures and ensures the work methodology adopted at the site is as per approved Field Quality Plan (FQP) and Method of Statement (MOS).
  • Keep record of all the changes made not only in drawings but also at actual site level for official record to be used in future.
  • Pre-Inspection of incoming material on random basis at site level before installation. Further, verification of all the technical documents such as Material Test Certificates (MTC), in-process test report of factory and warranty related documents. If found any issues during inspection, then intimate the concerned authority accordingly.
  • To ensure the proper co-ordination with office team for submission of project deliverable on time.
  • Plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the project construction process with the vendor/sub-contractor.
  • Compare project schedule with actual progress at site level and prepare / conclude delay report and its submission to head office for further corrective action to catch up the progress speed.
  • Assist in maintaining the proper record of quality documents for every activity such as cube test results calibration certificates, Field quality plan, (FQP) and checklists submitted by EPC for acceptance of work.
  • Coordinate with the third party inspector and site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality lapses including the closure of NCRs.
  • Providing technical guidance to sub-contractors whenever required for re-solving various complications of site with the close interaction with office team.
  • Overall construction monitoring of various civil activities such as construction of RCC building, PEB structure, MMS works, Robotic cleaning Drainage works, Road works etc.
  • Review of subcontractor performance to comply with contract requirements and issuing the periodic alerts to head office so as to maintain the construction progress of the project.
  • Timely submission of Weekly Progress Report (WPR) or Construction report (CR), to head office.
  • Daily monitoring of construction progress, considering quality concerns, and ensuring jobsite safety considerations are addressed.
  • Review of topographical survey, geotechnical report and to assess the requirement of infrastructure as per site conditions and provide the necessary inputs to design team so as to modify the drawings if required.
  • Preparation of MMS erection report, project reports and punch list with appropriate mitigation techniques so as to get the compliance report from sub-vendors for smooth handover of the project.
  • Suggest sub-vendor for work sequence to be followed as per site conditions and additional resources requirement (if any) for improving the progress pace.
  • Review of approved drawings received at site and intimate the design team about correction or modification required (if any as per site condition).
  • Maintaining proper documents i.e. emails copies / reports etc. for future reference.
  • To understand the project drawings of RCC design, steel structures, pile foundations, Pre-engineered building (PEB) and equipment foundations to ensure the construction work as per approved design and drawing for all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, structural and infrastructure works.
  • Provide the reliable and comprehensive project reports to the project team advising critical activities, schedule updates, and related project needs.
  • Align all the tests under the scope to accomplish the quality of construction indicated in the drawings / specifications for all works performed by the contractor.
  • Conducting weekly review meeting with sub-vendors/contractors and quality representative at site to assess the construction progress as per schedule and to understand the bottlenecks of various activities. In addition to this, also prepare and circulate the MOM for each meeting.
  • Produce project schedules and updates suited to accomplish contract requirements to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support construction activities.
