What You Will Do

Gannett Fleming’s Environmental Management & Natural Resources Team has multiple career opportunities for Civil/Environmental Engineers based out of our Camp Hill, PA, Valley Forge, PA, and Baltimore, MD offices.


Successful candidates will use their technical abilities to assist Project Managers, Project Engineers and Scientists in providing a broad range of engineering services to public and private clients, while mentoring entry-level staff and engaging in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team setting. Our projects are primarily in the mid-Atlantic region but there may be opportunities to work on projects throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation and assessment for a variety of projects.
  • Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of public infrastructure facilities/projects.
  • Evaluate vendor submissions to assure compliance with design and technical specifications.
  • Perform construction observation and field engineering services.
  • Coordinate with project team to develop design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, calculations, and reports.
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local permit applications.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Construction observation experience is a plus.
  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering required, M.S. degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, design, permitting and construction administration of civil/site projects.
  • 5-10 years of civil or environmental engineering experience such as civil/site design, land development, utility design, grading, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to perform work in the field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or 3D platform (i.e., Revit), Microsoft Office Suite and use of standard engineering software.
  • Current PE license is required.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $112,000; Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
