Civil Engineer Jobs

We are engineering firm, located in Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

Design of substation structures, foundations, civil grading of substation sites

Meet submission & fabrication schedules

Performs other duties as assigned

Delegate tasks to designers for completion

Required Skills/Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

3 Years Or More Of Credible Experience

Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory

Preferred experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.

Experience preparing and reviewing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) preferred

Site layout, grading, drainage, erosion, and sediment control experience preferred

Knowledge of preparing calculations

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving

Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision

Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven department

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Friday: 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M

Requirements

AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.

Experienced in substation physical design and engineering

Experience preparing and reviewing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP)

Design of substation structures, foundations, civil grading of substation sites
