Title: Civil CAD Designer

Location: Austin, TX

Interview: 2 rounds (1st round onsite with hiring managers/2nd round potentially with President of company virtually)

Our client is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm providing a variety of services including water, wastewater, street and drainage design, site developments, subdivision plats, construction administration and engineering studies. Additional expertise is provided by the firm for design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, major collection and transmission infrastructure and pump stations. The firm provides complete civil engineering capabilities to assist governmental agencies, utility districts and private developers throughout Texas.

Day-to-Day

• 10-20 MM in project size – water plants, wastewater plants, subdivision, site development
• Potential of travel once a month to West Texas – Midland, TX area on customer sites
• 100% onsite in Austin, TX
• Designing for wastewater projects going to permit – need someone with firm grasp of basics that can come in, minimal ramp up in knowledge and training

Qualifications

• DOES NOT need a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree – only need skillset and years of experience!
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineers and other design technicians
• Experience doing this type of work in Texas - Austin preferably
• A minimum 2 years of experience with Civil 3D (Auto CAD), no more than 10 total years’ experience.
• Familiarity with local and state design requirements – has done this work most previously in Texas and familiar with Texas local and state design requirements.
• Water treatments systems design is a plus.
• Design of subdivision utilities and streets, site development plans and major water and wastewater infrastructure – heavy emphasis on water and wastewater
