Job Description

ACHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic. We provide medical and dental care, with additional specialists in Chiropractic, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychology, Podiatry and Optometry. ACHC Clinics are located across Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties.

SUMMARY*
Delivers chiropractic care to patients in the outpatient clinic setting. Follows established standards, procedures, and practices for chiropractic services.

*
RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Refers patients to other doctors or specialists, as needed.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of neuromusculoskeletal injuries, conditions, and treatments.
  • Uses tests, such as x-rays or ultrasounds, to better understand and treat a patient’s condition.
  • Participates in fulfilling Aria’s mission.
  • Attends to patient, coworker, subordinates and supervisors needs with gracious and respectful attitude.
  • Provides patients with education to improve their lifestyle, including nutrition, and exercise plans.
  • Administers holistic treatments, such as spinal manipulation, adjustments, massage, and hot and cold compresses.
  • Evaluation of patients to learn about injuries or identify health concerns and create a plan for treatment or management.
  • Documents patient information and keep detailed records of conditions and care in HER system.
  • Attends conferences and workshop to keep current with developments in Chiropractic care.

  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to transport oneself to work at multiple Aria clinic locations.
  • Computer literacy to include basic skills in e-mail communication and word processing.
  • Ability to serve a wide range of consumers, including culturally diverse populations.
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of patient information and ensures privacy is maintained.
  • Collaboration with staff and other health care professionals.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy of daily work.
  • Ability to analyze patient conditions-based observations and medical tests.
  • Understanding of stretches, exercises, therapies, and dietary changes that may help patients manage their overall health.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and supports changes that improve quality of care, service and operations.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and staff.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to providing the best possible care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*

  • Prefer two or more years of experience.
  • Must graduate from an accredited educational program for Chiropractors and currently be licensed in the State of California.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

  • Repetitive hand motions (up to 6 hours/shift).
  • Standing and walking (up to 6 hours\shift).
  • Repetitive (up to 6 hours/shift) bending, twisting, stooping and squatting.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (up to 3 hours/shift)
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform standard chiropractic evaluation and treatments.
  • Repetitive pushing and pulling (up to 6 hours/shift)
  • Manual dexterity to perform standard chiropractic evaluation and treatments.
  • Utilize a keyboard and mouse (up to 5 hours/shift).
