KREWE’s unique approach to eyewear has created a cult-following amongst consumers and influencers alike. The Chief Operations Officer at KREWE will be responsible for establishing a strong foundation of company operations to support the rapid and profitable growth of the brand. This includes leadership and oversight of the following functions: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Forecasting & Purchasing, Merchandise Planning & Allocation, IT & Systems, Inventory Management, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Customer Service.


The COO is a crucial partner to the President and the entire executive team in establishing a culture of accountability in a high-growth company with a distributed workforce. This is a commercially driven role, charged with optimizing operations with a forward-thinking and solution-oriented mindset while keeping pace with the evolving global supply chain and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all planning including merchandising, demand and supply planning, buy plans, and allocation methodology to maximize revenue while maintaining a healthy inventory balance.
  • Manage operations budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs through vendor negotiations, supply management, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develops (or improves on) processes, systems, and standards along with scorecards for managing and evaluating progress and achievement of goals.
  • Oversees the evolution of our manufacturing strategy to expand KREWE’s vendor network, allowing for increased capacity, driving innovation in development, and creating efficiency of vendor management that will lead to improved quality control and margin performance.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development along with high standards for execution that will create a high-performing team that can grow with the company as we scale the business.
  • Establish a leadership presence within operations that sets the tone for an ongoing evolution of the department with the goal of establishing operational excellence and a best-in-class service model.
  • Working with finance team identify and implement a BI tool that will improve data management and provide dashboards for business leaders; ensure data integrity becomes a core competency for the company.
  • Lead development of technology roadmap and innovation, finding new ways for IT to drive optimizing a hybrid working model.
  • Identify operational issues that need to be addressed with a clear roadmap and timeline that enables achievement of 2022 goals and keeps us on track to support the ongoing growth in 2023 and beyond.
  • Build a strategic and actionable plan that will create a robust yet agile operations foundation to support the company’s 3-5 year growth objectives.
  • Identify and implement solutions to provide ability for both BOPIS and fulfillment direct from stores for eCommerce customers.
  • Create and manage a project management framework to be used across the organization establishing processes and templates for all company projects from briefing phase through approvals, tracking, reporting, and evaluation of project success.
  • Drive evolution in logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment including the implementation of additional fulfillment centers (owned or 3PL), and flow planning for inventory, packaging, and supplies to optimize for limited warehouse space.
  • Create a Best-in-Class customer service model for all channels; sustain NPS score of 80+.
  • Working with finance, improve inventory management visibility and accuracy and identify ways to improve loss prevention control and reduce shrink.
  • Develop and track KPI’s for all operations activities and analyze effectiveness
  • Ensure the brand ethos and core values come to life in all operational touchpoints – from vendor relationships to internal business partners and driving a modern approach to problem solving with creative thinking.


Qualifications:


  • High level financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Proven expertise in developing strategies and managing through execution
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • NOLA HQ based or REMOTE with 25% travel to HQ + additional travel as needed
  • Commercial experience that will aid in creating a sales-oriented operations team
  • Experience driving technology solutions that help modernize the business and create efficiencies
  • Experience with premium brands, preferably in accessories / eyewear
  • Omni-channel operations experience – Wholesale, Retail, Ecommerce
  • Experiencing launching or managing businesses in international markets
  • Ability to build a lean, high-performing team that can scale with the business
  • 15+ years’ experience in a lead role overseeing company operations within a high-growth business
