The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and making decisions based on the company’s financial stability. Their duties include monitoring cash flow, meeting with the CEO to discuss the best practices for company finances and coming up with strategic plans to improve the company’s overall financial health.

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Reviews the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Risk averse
• Make regular adjustments if forecast aren’t hit
• Assisting the CEO to develop financial Plans
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
• Managing the accounting and Finance team as well as the departments process
• Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members
• Accurate and timely forecast
• Entrepreneur mindset (has experience in start-ups)
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Works with the executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
• Process and Procedure oriented- (lean six sigma experience)
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management is required
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement
• Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
• Strong Communicator
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Project Finance knowledge
• Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Extensive capital raise experience
• Strong negotiation skills
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
