Job Description

Description of the role

The CFO will be responsible for leading the Company’s financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, company audits, debt structuring and lender relationships. The CFO will collaborate with the CEO and the Leadership Team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CFO to join a high performing team within a well-positioned aviation company with strong long-term shareholders, at a time of exciting growth for the Company.


Responsibilities

  • Full cash flow management, ensure cash flow is compatible with day-to-day operations, asset transactions and banking requirements.
  • Involved in engine and aircraft transactions from a strategic and financial standpoint.
  • Monitor and manage inventory analysis and costing activity.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivables, including credit review process and customer payment/collection activity.
  • Work with financial staff to coordinate development of annual operating budget and rolling forecasts. Understand business and industry trends to manage updates of forecasts throughout the fiscal year.
  • Manage HR operations including payroll, 401k, health insurance and dental insurance.
  • Manage and maintain banking relationship, including loan renewals and loan origination activity as well as communication of business trends, asset transactions. The ability to negotiate banking terms. Understand and manage bank covenants and adherence to loan requirements as well as monthly reporting. Work with attorneys to coordinate review of bank documents.
  • Monitor and manage account payables, including preparing wire/ACH/check payments.
  • Full Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet responsibility. Coordinate with staff to ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting is accurate and complete, as well as submitted to parent company (public) according to deadlines.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, advanced analytical skills.
  • Must have experience in the Aviation Industry.
  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
  • Experience at a publicly held company preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, GAAP and finance concepts. Business-related degree along with either an MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and advanced Excel and modeling skills.
  • Experience in working directly with lenders.
