This is a seasonal resort, and the Director of Facilities serves in a role that is on property for 12 months out of the year, but with a more moderate schedule during the quiet season.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The facilities manager role will lead the department and assist in facility's needs, including identifying and coordinating corrective measures. This will include implementation and coordination of facilities operations to improve systems and processes, including management of workloads in accordance with policies and procedures. This role works in coordination with various departments to provide and maintain an appealing, safe, and secure environment for guests and staff. Responsible for management and day to day operations of facilities team, maintenance of the physical plant, capital planning and overall budget planning and projections, control, and monitoring, vendors and service contracts, purchase requisitions and invoices

Establish a routine preventive maintenance program for all physical plant and equipment.

  • Provide assistance/recommendations in the capitol expenditure budget.
  • Responds to guests’ maintenance requests and questions and resolves their need efficiently.
  • Participate in all managerial meetings and functions.
  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by General Manager.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to cosmetic building facets
  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
  • Attend weekly management meetings
  • Maintain all buildings and work performed in accordance to all governing bodies and codes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills organizational skills.
  • Submits all reports and memos to appropriate parties.
  • Ability to interact positively with guests, staff, vendors and contractors.
  • Maintains all pertinent records pertaining to Facilities/Engineering
  • Schedule staffing and oversee outside contractors
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to major building systems
  • Ensure compliance with all Life Safety guidelines

ENVIRONMENT:

Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside possible in inclement weather. Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc. Some work may be in confined spaces
