Since 1964 the summer harvest is hot and dry in Utah, but an annual tradition for the small town of Payson where everyone — all ages of girls, boys, aunts, uncles, and cousins plus local off-track school teachers and principals — pulls together to pick the cherries within a critical three to four-week period.

Cherry Picker Details
  • Full Time work available
  • Temporary position
  • Weekend work required
  • $ 11.50 to $ 12.00 / hour
  • Various shifts available ( Monday through Saturday from 07:00am to 07:00pm )
  • 10-12 Hour Shifts Monday-Saturday
  • Night: 7PM - 5AM $12/hr
  • Must be able to sort out fruit with defects
  • Each tree will be picked according to instructions given each day by the orchard foreman
  • Day: 7AM - 5PM $11.50/hr
  • All fruit must be handled with care to avoid bruising
  • Eligibility for good attendance BONUS at end of the season!
Cherry Picker Qualifications
  • Able to bend, lift, twist and move while standing for a 10-12 hour shift
  • Able to commit to employment for 4 weeks
  • At least be 16 years old by start date
  • No experience necessary!
  • Starting July 17
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
  • Lifting up to 30lbs
