Job Description

The Process Chemistry organization located at our Rahway, New Jersey site is seeking highly motivated and exceptional chemists who are looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced job that provides a high degree of technical responsibility. A successful candidate will be joining a group of innovative scientists with broad deliverables ranging from the design of manufacturing routes for drug candidates to driving innovative solutions to complex chemistry problems in the discovery phase to building on our state-of-the-art catalysis capabilities.

A PhD. in chemistry with experience in methodology/catalysis (including chemo-catalysis, bio-catalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry is needed, along with a proven track record of solving complex problems. A high level of innovation, creativity, and self-initiative are expected for the role. Candidates should exhibit strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Chemistry.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must have conducted outstanding research in their field of expertise that may be shared during the interview process.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • PhD in Chemistry.
  • High-level leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate well with multidisciplinary teams and possess outstanding communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Including a research summary with your CV is strongly preferred.
  • A supportive track record of peer-reviewed publications and research presentations is a plus.
  • Additional experience within an academic laboratory (post-doctoral fellowship) or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve business goals

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5,2023 our U.S. Hybrid work model will be as follows: 1. Three total days on site per week: Tuesday and Wednesday – plus one additional day of choice based on what works best for organizations and/or teams. 2. Fridays will formally be a remote-working day unless business critical tasks require onsite presence.

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$107,600.00 - $169,400.00
