We are seeking a talented Chemistry Lab Technician to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. Under the supervision of the Analytical Manager you would be responsible for reviewing and releasing screening results, performing sample validity testing while performing instrument maintenance.

We are hiring for several shifts.

• Performing Sample Validity Testing
• Reviewing and Releasing Screening Results
• Special projects as assigned
• Validation of Controls, Reagents, Instruments and Methods
• Preparing Standards, Controls, and Reagents
• Collection and Documentation of Department Metrics

Associate Degree Or 60 Credit Hours Must Include At Least 24 Hours Of Biology, Chemistry, And/or Medical Laboratory Courses

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Clinical Laboratory Science, chemical, physical, or biological science preferred Or Associate Degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory OR at least 60 documented credit hours from an accredited institution.

at least 6 credit hours of biology

at least 6 credit hours of chemistry

at least an additional 12 credit hours of biology, chemistry, or medical laboratory courses

Related Experience Preferred, But Not Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Automated Chemistry system preferred (Advia 2400 or Olympus 640, 2700, or 5400)
• Knowledge of Refractometer operation preferred
• Attention to detail
• Use of Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel
• Knowledge of pH meter operation preferred

Physical Requirements

• Sitting & standing for long periods of time
• Repetitive motions and/or prolonged computer use HP123
• Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance
