Full-time, salary, exempt position. Market Rate compensation based on experience, skill set,

and certifications.

of-its-kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling and cleaning up legacy

around us and support our clients with innovative sustainable water treatment solutions.

Who You Are:

The successful Chemical Engineer candidate will help AVANTech design & implement water

treatment projects across the US & world. It is a challenging role that will require detailed

design calculations, laboratory testing, and on-site start-ups of systems you’ve helped come to

life. The role requires initiative to constantly learn about new technologies and innovate creative

ways of solving complex problems. A defining aspect of the AVANTech culture is to encourage

growth and advancement of younger engineers who want to do great work. You’ll have an

opportunity to work beside your peers developing creative solutions, while being mentored by

industry leading experts in their field.

The current role is envisioned for someone with 0-5 years of experience, but more senior

candidates are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate:

• Key responsibilities include preparing process flow diagrams (PFDs), material and energy

balances (MEBs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

• Perform detailed sizing calculations and selecting process components (pumps, control

valves, instruments, consumables, etc.) that are used in water treatment systems.

• Complete all aspects of bench/ pilot scale testing initiatives, including design of test

apparatus, creation of test instructions and related data analysis.

• Work closely with the mechanical and electrical engineering groups to design, manufacture,

test, commission and operate a wide variety of water treatment systems.

• The location is Columbia, SC. Full-time remote work is not an option and relocation to the

area is required.

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an accredited

university is required.

• All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and possible

background investigation.
