Chemical Batcher Jobs

The Chemical Batcher is responsible for proper blending, testing and releasing of all Rug Doctor formulas to the production floor. Also conducts weekly inventories of raw components. Ensures that all Rug Doctor safety rules are followed and that proper safety gear is worn while the blending process is occurring.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Operates, calibrates, and maintains pumps according to departmental policy and keeps records of results.
• Must be physically able to handle lifting up to 100 pounds safely and efficiently.
• Use material handling equipment necessary along with pallet jack and forklift with the ability to become forklift certified under the Company’s Forklift Policy and Procedure Guidelines.
• Must be able to pass a reference verification, background search, post offer employment physical and substance abuse screen.
• Must be able to work efficiently alone or in a team environment at line and/or machine pace under minimal supervision.
• Good organizational skills helpful.
• Handles miscellaneous duties and related projects or tasks as needed and/or as assigned, including assisting in chemical line production duties.
• Operates drum handling equipment and material handling equipment, including forklift.
• Prepares vats of chemical from control documents after verifying that the BOM is correct, keeping samples and records for each vat of chemical produced.
• Works efficiently alone or at line and/or machine pace under minimal supervision and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Good basic math skill required.
• Maintains and restocks supplies as necessary and completes other departmental records and reports as needed.
• Maintains water softeners and records salt usage.
• Must be quality conscientious
• Performs and records each vats results ensuring that are in tolerance according to the control document.
• Performs a weekly and monthly inventory of all raw materials.
• Able to train, cross train, and assist other employees as needed.
• Physically able to manipulate full drums of raw material safely.
• Overtime as required and authorized.
