Charge Entry/Medical Insurance Follow-Up Representative - Remote | Wfh

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Account Resolution Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless resolution of patient account balances and denied claims. Your expertise in medical coding, along with your experience using Athena and Office Ally billing systems, will be invaluable in assisting us in maintaining efficient and accurate billing processes.
Responsibilities
Resolve patient account balances promptly and accurately, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Skillfully address and resolve denied claims, working closely with insurance companies to ensure timely payment.
Communicate with insurance companies regarding denied and rejected claims, advocating for prompt resolution.
Utilize your medical coding experience to accurately assign appropriate codes for billing purposes.
Leverage your proficiency in using Athena and Office Ally billing systems to efficiently navigate and manage billing operations.
Requirements
Previous experience in medical billing, preferably 2 years, is highly desired.
Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of industry-standard coding systems.
Familiarity with billing systems such as Athena and Office Ally is required.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a high level of accuracy.
Availability to work part-time on a contract basis, with potential for flexible scheduling including weekends.
Work location is remote, providing you the convenience of working from home.
