Job description

As spiritual leader of St. John's, the Chaplain is a significant part of the care giving team. They are responsible for the spiritual wellbeing of the resident. The Chaplain encourages and facilitates good relations with residents’ home congregations. They are the ambassador for St. John's with all associated congregations and their clergy. They minister to the spiritual needs of the resident by conducting church services, sacraments, Bible studies, support groups, preaching and one to one visiting. This position is full time, working at two campuses in Albert Lea.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Prefer 3 years of active ministry in a church or healthcare setting
• Must be an ordained minister.
• Must have good listening skills.
• Prefer Completion of at least one (1) to four (4) units of clinical pastoral education at Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)
• Ability to speak in public to groups and on an individual basis.
• Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and written.
• Familiar with health care practices and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
