Job Description
  • All other duties as assigned in accordance with the Post Orders.
  • Performing random frisk searches of Inmates that enter and exit the Chapel building.
  • Maintaining Security, Custody and Control.
  • Assisting the Chapel Department in supervising Inmates assigned to classes and programs.
  • Supervising Inmates assigned to take classes and programs in the Chapel building and ensuring proper procedures are adhered to.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen, at least 18 years of age, high school graduate or GED, no criminal record. Must possess a valid current driver’s license. If offered employment, you must pass a physical examination administered by SCDC.
  • Incumbent must satisfactorily complete all academics and on the job training by the S.C. Department of Corrections as specified. Must have completed Defensive Driving Training and cannot be on the “No Drive List and or the No Draw List” with SCDC.
