TITLE: Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

REPORTS TO: Resident Care Supervisor/ Administrator

METHOD OF PAY: Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of the position is to provide physical and emotional care to our residents at all times in a clean, friendly, and safe environment.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make written reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
• Legibly and routinely chart all resident activities as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Provide assistance with the day-to-day functions of the Residents in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Personal Care Facility.
• Assist with Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as required.
• Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
• Review treatment sheets daily and report any changes to the Resident Care Supervisor /Administrator.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation per facility policy.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS:

• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
• Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.
• Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
